Moving labor FAQ
How much does moving labor cost?
Hourly rates start at $80–$120/hour per mover depending on the day and time. Weekday rates are lower than weekend. A 2-mover crew for 3 hours (typical PODS unload) runs $480–$720.
Do I need to provide equipment?
No. Our crew brings dollies, furniture pads, straps, and tools. If you have specific equipment we should bring (like appliance dolly or stair-climber), just ask.
Is there a minimum?
Yes — 2 hours is the minimum booking. After that, you pay in 15-minute increments.
Can you load a PODS container efficiently?
Yes — we’ve loaded hundreds of PODS, ABF, U-Pack, and similar containers. We know how to maximize space, balance weight, and secure contents for safe transit.
Will you move furniture within my home?
Yes. Moving a heavy sofa to a different room, rearranging a bedroom, or getting a piano upstairs — we do it all.
Are you insured for labor-only jobs?
Yes — our labor crews carry the same liability coverage as our full-service moves. If something gets damaged, we cover it.
